Term of Service

1. General Agreement

Welcome to SHORTURL.IN.TH ("the Site," "we," "us," or "our"), a service that provides URL shortening, QR code generation, bio link pages, and related tools. By using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service in full. If you do not agree with any part, please discontinue use immediately.

These terms are governed by the laws of Thailand, including the Computer-Related Crime Act B.E. 2550 (2007) as amended, the Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 (2019) (PDPA), and the Copyright Act B.E. 2537 (1994).

2. Definitions

  • URL — Uniform Resource Locator; the address of a resource on the internet.
  • Short URL — A shortened version of a URL produced by our service.
  • QR Code — A 2-dimensional matrix code containing URLs, text, vCards, etc.
  • Bio Page — A web page created by a user to consolidate personal or business links into one location.
  • Pro Account — A paid account with additional features unlocked.
  • User Content — Any URL, text, image, or data submitted or published by a user through the service.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use this service. Users between 13 and 20 years of age affirm that they have parental or legal guardian consent. Users acting on behalf of a business must have proper authority to do so.

4. Account and Security

  • You must provide accurate and current information when registering an account.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and all activity occurring under your account.
  • Account sharing is prohibited unless explicitly supported by the system (e.g., the Team feature).
  • If you discover unauthorized access to your account, notify us immediately via the Contact page.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that pose a security threat to the system or other users without prior notice.

5. Acceptable Use and Prohibited Content

URLs, QR codes, Bio pages, or any content submitted through our service must NOT:

  • Violate Thai or international law, including copyright, intellectual property, and computer crime laws
  • Contain pornography, obscene material, or child sexual abuse material (CSAM)
  • Promote unlicensed online gambling under Thai law
  • Distribute illegal drugs, weapons of war, explosives, or other illegal goods
  • Contain phishing, malware, viruses, ransomware, or other harmful software
  • Facilitate financial fraud, pyramid schemes, fake refund scams, or unauthorized investment offerings
  • Defame or damage the reputation of any individual
  • Insult or threaten the Thai monarchy or other key national institutions
  • Incite violence, terrorism, or social unrest
  • Harass individuals or expose private personal information without consent (doxxing)
  • Constitute spam, unsolicited bulk messaging, or unauthorized advertising
  • Impersonate another person, organization, or brand without authorization
  • Bypass our security mechanisms, CAPTCHA, or anti-spam controls
  • Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) that overload or damage the system
  • Use the service as a redirection point for cyberattacks, DDoS, or fraudulent customer redirects
  • Engage in affiliate fraud (cookie stuffing, ad fraud) or generate fake clicks

We reserve the right to determine, at our sole discretion, whether content falls under these prohibitions.

6. Content Removal and Account Suspension

We may remove content, disable URLs, take down Bio pages, or suspend accounts immediately and without prior notice when:

  • The content violates Section 5
  • We receive a legitimate request from authorities, courts, or regulators
  • We receive a substantiated complaint with clear evidence from an injured party
  • The system detects abnormal usage (e.g., a URL is flagged by Google Safe Browsing)
  • An account has been inactive for an extended period (24 months for free accounts)

We are not obligated to recover deleted data. Users should back up their own data regularly.

7. Abuse Reporting and Legal Requests

If you encounter URLs, QR codes, or Bio pages that violate these terms or applicable law, please report them via our Report a Link page or Contact page, including:

  • The URL or content to be reported
  • The reason and type of violation (e.g., phishing, spam, copyright infringement)
  • Supporting evidence, if available
  • Your contact information (name, email) for verification purposes

We will investigate within 7 business days and may cooperate with authorities as required by law.

8. Intellectual Property

Our Content: The "SHORTURL.IN.TH" logo and name, software architecture, website design, and articles published on our blog are the intellectual property of us or our licensors. Reproduction, modification, or distribution without written authorization is prohibited.

User Content: Users retain ownership of content they create. However, users grant us a license to store, display, back up, and reproduce content as necessary to provide the service, for as long as the account is active and for up to 90 days after account deletion for technical backup purposes.

If you believe your copyright has been infringed on our site, please submit a notice under Section 32 of the Thai Copyright Act through our Contact page.

9. Personal Data and Cookies

We collect and process personal data in accordance with Thailand's PDPA. Full details are in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

Data we collect includes:

  • Account data (email, name, hashed password)
  • Usage data (shortened URLs, clicks, statistics)
  • Technical data (IP addresses of those clicking links, User-Agent, country — used for statistics and spam prevention)
  • Cookie data (for sessions, preferences, and analytics)

We use cookies and tracking technologies (Google Analytics, AdSense). Users may disable cookies in their browser settings; doing so may impair some functionality.

10. Advertising and Third-Party Revenue

Our website may display advertisements from ad networks (e.g., Google AdSense). Ad content does not represent our opinions or endorsements, and we are not responsible for products or services advertised.

The Splash Page that may appear before redirection is part of the free service. Users may upgrade to Pro to bypass it.

11. Pro Plan and Refunds

  • Pro Plan fees are charged monthly or annually as selected by the user.
  • Payments are processed by authorized providers (Stripe, PayPal, etc.).
  • Users may cancel renewal at any time from the "Billing" page.
  • Refund Policy: We offer a full refund within the first 7 days after payment if you are unsatisfied. After 7 days, all sales are final.
  • We reserve the right to change prices with at least 30 days' advance notice.

12. Service Availability ("As-Is")

The service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to:

  • Continuous 100% uptime (no SLA)
  • Accuracy of displayed information
  • Fitness for any particular purpose
  • Security against all forms of cyberattack
  • Permanent retention of short links (we may delete inactive links)

We may modify, change, or discontinue any feature of the service at any time.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for:

  • Indirect, consequential, or punitive damages
  • Loss of revenue, profits, data, reputation, or business opportunities
  • Damages from short links being removed, disabled, or temporarily unavailable
  • Content posted by other users through the service
  • Actions of third-party service providers (ad networks, payment processors, SSL issuers, etc.)
  • Damages from force majeure, natural disasters, government action, or internet network disruptions

In any event, our maximum liability to you shall not exceed the fees you paid us in the past 12 months or 30 USD (≈1,000 THB), whichever is greater.

14. Indemnification

The user agrees to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the service provider, its employees, officers, and agents from damages, costs, liabilities, and legal fees arising from:

  • Your breach of these Terms
  • Content you publish through the service
  • Infringement of third-party rights (copyright, trademark, privacy, etc.)
  • Your unlawful actions through our service

15. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. Upon deletion:

  • All your short links will stop working
  • Personal data will be deleted within 90 days unless required by law to be retained
  • Paid fees are non-refundable except as outlined in Section 11

We may terminate your access at any time for the reasons stated in Section 6.

16. Changes to Terms

We may revise these Terms periodically. Material changes will be announced via email or website notice at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. If you do not accept the new terms, please discontinue use.

17. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Thailand. Any disputes arising shall fall under the jurisdiction of Thai courts.

The parties agree to attempt good-faith mediation through our Contact page before initiating legal action.

18. Miscellaneous

  • Severability: If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
  • No Waiver: Our failure to enforce a provision once does not waive our right to enforce it later.
  • Assignment: Users may not assign their account or rights under these Terms without our consent.
  • Language: In case of conflict between Thai and English versions, the Thai version shall prevail.
